Philosophy
In pursuit of finding the passion of my heart and purpose of my soul, I discovered Mindfulness.I believe we all have a purpose in life; sometimes known, sometimes unknown, yet very much imminent. The "busyness" of our daily lives, society, what we assume to be "a way of life" has robbed us of discovering who we truly are, as indviduals. We are not the roles we play in life, we are not who we wish we were, we are not who someone else wants us to be, we are simply who we are. In the process of discovering who we truly are, which does not change who we are, we are then able to be at peace with all the challenges, pain and sorrow we face in this lifetime. In order to discover who we are and to find peace within, we must first be mindful. What does that mean? To be mindful is simply bringing your awareness to this moment, this breath. One moment, one breath at a time. Be present, be aware, be mindful, without judgment. How do we accomplish that? Various meditation techniques assist us in being present to this moment. Each in-breath represents a new beginning; a fresh start. Each out-breath represents an ending or a letting go. With each breath, you are complete. If I can help at least one individual, in one moment, with one breath, to find peace within, than I have accomplished a great deal and so have they.
