COMMUNITY PROGRAMS

Education is a major commitment of Lotus. In the fall of 1998, we offered a successful series of lectures to the community with much praise from those who attended.

In 1999, we invited allopathic healers to a spring lecture on Integration of Health Care. Later that year we offered a unique experiential learning opportunity on Nutrition and Mindfulness.

The year 2000 began with Dr. Beatriz Olson’s presentation at Medical Grand Rounds at Waterbury Hospital. She provided evidenced based research for the value of some complementary and alternative methods of care. Many physicians in the audience thanked her for such an in-depth presentation.

Later this year we will be offering learning opportunities again to our community. In the spring we will offer Mindfulness and Spirituality, in the fall it will be Mindfulness and Nutrition. Call our office for more details
